I know! Major update...AGAIN

Okay so I know it has been a long time. With school out and the holiday's among us, our schedule has been a little out of the ordinary. So here's a little catch up. We went to Burley for Christas and had a great time. I cannot beleive how much snow they have...and how big drifts can get. Wow! We had great times with family and had some crazy games of Hand and Foot and made tons of memories.

Here is the gang getting ready to go play on "The Hood". I know crazy right. Shay's dad brought home and old car hood. The boys rigged it up on the back of a four wheeler and wow was it fun. When we found the perfect "drifted" snow it kind of gave it the effect of a tube behind a boat. Cookies and high speeds, and barely being able to hold on. It was so much fun!!

Here is Shay and I at an Ugly Sweater Party and Candice and Jake's place. We played games, ate cookies, and had lots of fun. Thanks guys for the fun party and for finally getting everyone together.

MOOOOOOOOOO

So this Tuesday and Wednesday was the United Dairyman of Idaho's Convention. Shay's parents come down ever year to it and put our names down so we can go too. (We own over 5 milk cows so I consider us legit dairy-ers. haha...never having touching a teet myself.
There is always amazing meals (a steak being part of every meal) unlimited milk (everykind) and icecream snickers and twixes. Then there is the exibits that all hand out free stuff and have drawings. Then there are the door prizes too which are much fewer in number and much cooler prizes.
So Shay and I usually go to just the dinners. I took work off on Tuesday and went all day. Tuesday night they do the exibit drawings. Shay, his mom, his dad and I ALL won a prize. Which is amazing!!!Shay won a $50 cabelas card, I won a big box of fancy crackers and chocolates, Melody won a Leatherman, and Alan won a big Got Milk peice of luggage filled with all sorts of Got milk shirts, boxers, lunch pales, socks...and much more. Notice the little cows everywhere...
So we thought we did pretty awesome. Well at the final dinner (Wednesday night) Where the serve Filet Mignon with rasberry creme broulee with white choclate shavings for dinner...I won again. That night they probably gave away 10 prizes to over 200 people...I WON!! I won a 19" flat screen TV. The prize after mine was a 48" with surround sound. oh well...i am just so happy I won something.

Stupid Tree

We have lived in our house for a year now. For the past year we have been cursing this stupid tree. It is so big, has so many leaves and dead branches. About a month ago when we had that crazy snow storm. A big ole branch broke and fell on our roof. We decided it was time to do something about our stupid tree. So we had some family come over and chopped it all up. I have some before and after pictures that I will post soon. Here are some pictures of the boys workin.

What a couple...Dr. Yank-Em & The Toothfairy

My co-workers Kelsi, Lauri, and I dressed up as Kitty Cats. It was so fun.
This is my Halloween treat. Peanut Butter choclate eye balls. Yummy.

Here is Shay and I. Dr. Yank-Em and the Toothfairy. I know it isn't very creative since I work at the dental office...but we had fun with it. We allready trying to think of good ideas for next year.

Okay Okay...Catch up Time AGAIN

So as many of you already know my brother Buddy (born as Nathan) got home from his mission last month. Pictures were taken at the airport and then the camera was lost in the craziness. So I have been waiting to post about it until I had a picture to post. So here is my family right after Buddy came through the doors. It's great to have him back!
Here's a little plug for him. Buddy is looking for a full time job now through Christmas. Let me know if you have anything he could do to make some mula!
Here is my baby brother Jared and his Homecoming date Leah. They were so cute and had a good time. My mom and I put on a pretty good (for last minute) dinner for them and some friends at my parents house. My baby brother all grown up.
That's all for now. Not really anything else has happened. Shay is studying always and my...just workin and cookin. Tootles.

The Big Nasty Hill Climb

This weekend we also went to The Big Nasty Hill Climb. It was fun and Shay loved seeing all the sweet tricked out bikes. It was amazing that they could get up this crazy hill. It was SO hot though that we didn't stick around for long. Everyone else seemed to be in the know about bringing your own shade.

The Best Birthday Ever!!

To start off the day (my 24th birthday) my family took me to an early breakfast and THE GRIDDLE in Meridian. It was really yummy. THis picture isn't from that day, it's actually another time we went, but you get the picture. Shay did not come because he was "busy" studying. AKA putting together my birthday present.

After breakfast my Dad and I went skiing at Braodside Harbor. My first set was lame, but my second one was great. I skiied the 1,2,4, and 6 balls. I am so close to skiing the whole course!! Maybe next week.

Shay was pretty tricky this year on surprising me with my birthday present. The day before my b-day he had me almost convinced I wasn't getting a new mountain bike (which is all i asked for.) So I got home from skiing to find a brand new beautiful bike. It is a Windsor Cliff 4500 and is SWEET. I also got some new riding shorts ( from birthday card money. I love my new bike!!!

So of course I had to test out my new bike. In the afternoon Harris, Malinda, Brian, Clarisa, Shay and I went on an awesome ride. We drove for an hour to the top of the mountain and rode forever. There were a coule of rattlesnake incidents, i got stung by a bee and I crashed my new bike (just to test it of course). It was still a super duper fun ride. This picture is of us after we are done...and so hungry, tired and dirty.

After riding Brian Clarisa, Shay and I went to Red Robin. We were all SO hungry that food has never tasted so good. People were kind of lookin at us funny since we were covered in dirt and not wearing our Bronco Blue. This is a picture of Clarisa and I laughing (for no apparent reason) whild the Red Robin staff sung their version of Happy Birthday.
This was such a great jam packed birthday. But I have to admit. I am definetly paying for it the next day. I am so sore and my bee sting itches like crazy...but it was totally worth it.

Waterski Mania

Okay...so I grew up waterskiing and have always loved it! I love the sound of the boat, the ski shredding the water and that pain you get on your calf when you ski really hard. Just my opinion...but skiing is a real man (or womans) sport. Way better than those other water sports! haha.

So ever since my Dad skiied awesome in regionals (see post below) he has been droppin hints that I need to start skiing more ofter. I had only been skiing twice so far this season at that point cuz my dad always goes with his friends (AKA my boss) who I have never really wanted to go with. Oh... MAJOR SIDENOTE...update on my Dad's skiing. Since regionals he has skiied through 35 4 times and even skiied 2.5 balls at 38 off which is amazing!! END OF SIDENOTE...

So a couple of weeks ago I went skiing with my Dad. He gave me some new pointers he had learned at his ski school in Florida. They helped A TON. I am now obsessed!! I can't stop thinking about it. I know sad. I have been twice since and skiied about 12 passes each time I have gone.

My new goal is to ski through the course by the end of the season. Of course it could cool off pretty quick...so I have to get going. I will keep ya'll posted on how it goes and try and get some great lake pictures this Saturday when I go to the lake again.

School is already here

Well, I have not posted in along time. I kept thinking there was nothing new or excited going on. I finally decided that we had just had such an eventful summer that what we are doing now seems unevenful. I have come to the relization that that is how it will be through the whole school year. So I need to find something to post about.
So School. Shay got into the nursing prgram about a year ago and this semester has finally starting his nursing courses. Wow! These classes are pretty comsuming. He finally gets to look like a nurse too and wear his scrubs to school. So...from now till December...school is our life...again. I forgot how much it takes over our lives...but we know that will be worth it in the end.

Steadmans Slide in Raft River Idaho

Adam Heward Wedding and THE SLIDE

Below is pictures of our last weekend. Shay's brother Adam got married to Victoria Rose. It was a great wedding...really hot (103) but it was great. Saturday morning we went out to Raft River to the Steadmans. It is a place where there is a very large slide and zipline. It was so much fun. I can't even remember the last time I laughed that hard. The bummer part is that Shay fell on the slide and seperated his shoulder...so we were having all the fun without him. Check out the pictures below.

Congrats Papa

My Dad is quite the skier...yes I am bragging. He skied at regionals this last week and did awesome. He skied 3 balls at 35 off which is really good. He placed 22nd in the Regional competition and was two places away from placing in nationals. Way to go Dad!

Lake Cleveland

A few weeks ago I drove down to Burley to pick up my hubby. He was there for a week helping around the farm. On Sunday after church we all headed up to Lake Cleveland (Heaven on Earth) for a picnic and nice walk around the lake. We road up Shay's Dad's bike and met the family up there. It was an awesome day with beautiful sights.

Weekend at the Lake

This last weekend we went camping with some friends. There were four couples in all. The company was great, the food was awesome and we had a great time.

Me on the tubeKim and I in the water
Jake, Todd, Shay, and Derek having way too much fun.
Shay got some sweet air this weekend. I think it is because Jake inspired him. It was the best I have ever seen Shay wakeboard.

Shay and Todd rode this tiny tube together. It took a while to get going because the roap kept breaking.

They finally figured out how they both could stay on. With Todd on top of Shay. It was pretty funny.

Our project

Alright. So a few weeks ago we bought these two old "totaled" Mercedes on craigslist. One was sideswiped and one had front end damage. So we bought them and started out little project...i mean big project. We towed the two cars down to my Dad's shop and got to work. We took all the parts we needed off of the sideswiped car and put them on the front end damage car...which is a 1994 S420. Here is a picture of the 420 after we got the crushed hood off. You can't tell but it is missing a radiator, trans cooler, bumper, among other things.
It took us about one and a half days straight to finish. We got all of the parts switched over and put all new liquids in it too. It runs like a champ!
Looks like a whole new car huh? You would never know it was totaled.
The interior was untouched and just needed some lovin!
I wish I would have gotten more picture of how filthy we were. We looked like mechanics. That's right...i helped a lot. As surprised as I am to say this, I actually had a lot of fun on this big project...but don't really want to do it again. haha!

Without the Internet

I never realized how much I relied on the internet until we cancel led ours. We have been with out the internet for a month....hence no posting for a month. Finally it drove me crazy to the point where i saved the last months excitement on a zippy and drove to mom and dad's place. haha. So you are going to get a few postings today.
Below is a slide show of my Dad's ski tourny that took place about a month ago at Broadside Harbor in Caldwell. Shay and I and some friends and even my mom went and hung out for the day. We watched skiers, trick skiers, and jumpers compete for their chance to qualify for regionals. It was a great day of hot sun and good times.

Sunday our friends Liz, Adam, Baby Tay, and Todd Nichole and Baby Kenna came over dinner and games. I realized after they left that I only got pictures of the adorable kiddies. Oh well. Kenna is on the right and Tay on the left. They were so cute!

My Friend Rosie!

Last week my dear friend Rosie brought me lunch. I met Rosie working at DL Evans Bank and she is such a sweet friend. She brought me lunch from The Lift on State St...yumm! I miss that place. It was so great to catch up and show her around Hidden Springs a bit. Thanks Rose!
