Merry Christmas

We went to the Heward's for Christmas this year and had a great time. Our niece Macey loved to help everyone open their presents and was so cute. We had all the grandkids together for the first time, including the three new babies. We had a great time spending time with family and eating good food. Merry Christmas!

Rock Creek Christmas Lights

So last night we went on a date for a drive up Rock Creek. I have heard of the place, and now am adding it to a place I would like to live! Amazingly beautiful canyon in the Idaho country. Well, we went to tons of Christmas lights last year in Boise...all the top amazing ones. This one beat them all. They have a huge lot with like a drive around circle with huge pine trees. Tons of lights, a huge Christmas city in the garage, and a camel! That's right...they have a huge camel you can pet. I have seen a camel before at the Boise zoo...but this honker was huge with two super tall humps and a huge main of hair...and fangs. Ya he kept yawning showing us his teethers. Unfortunetly all of my pics of the camel were too dark...we hope to go back again with our nieces and hopefully get some better pictures of Bull the Camel. Here are some pics of our adventure. Oh..it was SOOO cold. 17 degrees. BRRRR>..

SANTA CLAUS

My sweet boy. I can't remember if I have written this on my blog already, if so...TOO BAD. haha. Cray's new favorite hobby is singing. He has a beautiful singing voice. I put on Christmas music and start singing and he pitches in and harmonizes with me. It's awesome. He already has a musical ear.
Tonight we went to our ward party to see if we could catch Santa Claus...
Here is Cray Before the party sportin the hat. I have to say it is a good thing Cray wore his Santa hat. The heat wasn't working in the gym at the church...so it was FREEZING...but Cray's head was warm.
We ended up finding Santa...here is my Cray and Jolly Ole' St Nick. Ahh...first Santa picture!

Cray and Trevor

This is Cray and his cousin...second cousin i think named Trevor at Thanksgiving. Trevor's mom Clarisa and and I have pictures taken together a lot as kids...so we had to do the same with our boys. Thanks Patty for the pics.

Gingerbread House Traditions

Every year growing up we would go to my Aunt Nancy's house and make gingerbread houses. Of course they were out of Graham crackers, but it's all the same. We did this every year with all of our cousins on that side for a long time. This year I wanted to make a darn house again, it had been years since I had done it, and it just didn't feel right. So we had our first annual Heward Gingerbread Party. It was a good time with lots of candy and sticky goodness.
Henley working on her second house.
Nana working on her house.
Kurt and Kyles giant house.
Shay can never do anything "with the grain". Here is his igloo...flying machine gingerbread house. I am still so amazed he got that cracker to balance everytime i look at it.

So I have a picture of us smiling with our houses, but for some reason the goofy pictures always seem so much more...us. haha.

Christmas Tree

Shay and I have never had a real Christmas tree. We bought a two foot fakey our first (super poor) Christmas. I had just enough ornaments to decororate it because my Grandma gives her grandkids ornaments every Christmas. Well, this year, our backyard neighbor sells fresh trees for super cheap. Even before I knew this I demanded we get a real tree this year...I love Crhistmas trees. So I got to pick it out while Shay was at work and put a tag on it. I love it!
Our family in front of our first tree. I really just wanted an excuse to put Cray's snow suit on him. I bought it a size too big knowing I would want it to fit all winter. It was quite big on him but so cute and snuggly warm.
Here is Shay and Cray in front of our decorated tree. Cray likes to stare at the lights.

Walking in A Winter Wonderland

Oh my baby boy is so funny. Nana has these singing bears that we alll get super sick of every Christmas. It's a girl and boy and they take turns singing parts to Winter Wonderland. Cray loved them. He would look back and forth to which one was singing and occasionally would pitch in and sing with them. His singing face is quite funny and cute.

Going Private...

I know I have threatened to do this before...however this time I mean it. haha. If you would like to be invited, please leave me your email as well as your first and last name. It is hard to figure out who people are when there is no picture or a small one and a first name. So please leave your name and your email and I will make sure you get an invite. Thanks.

Thanksgiving in Boise

Well, we have spent the last week in Boise for the holiday. It was a great relaxing holiday with good food, lots of family, good times, and shopping! Here are some pictures from our time in Boise.
Cray and Shay. Cray loves watching his Daddyo play the guitar.
Cray's favorite thing to do now is stand. He does not want to be held like a baby, he wants to sit up and most of the time stand up and see everything that is going on around him.

Papa and Cray
I just had to include this picture. We were taking a million pictures trying to get a good one of his shirt and him, and the flash would go off first and he would open his eyes all huge like...i was laughing so hard.
Cray loves Elder Munson. If you can't tell, it says that on his shirt. We are sending these pictures to Jared for Christmas.

Family pictures 2010

My Aunt Patty took some family pictures of us. Here are a few of the good ones. Im not posting my favorite till after Christmas cards go out.

Halloween Weekend

OK, I finally got a cord! Here is halloween pictures finally. WE went to our ward trunk or treat party. We were a family of baked goodness and the pillsbury doughboy. Cray was so darn cute.
Cray makes the funniest faces...can you tell he loved his costume?

Cray and Shay
Cupcake, Pillsbury doughboy, and chocolate chip cookie. I really didnt' have time to make my costume cool. Shay was quite a hit with the little girls. One girl kept chasing him yelling cookie!
After the ward party, some of Shay's bros were going to the local straw maze to work as scary people. Shay had been asked to go and I really wanted to go too. So Cray hung out with Nanna and I put my eye liner and lipstick to work. It was so fun. I stood under a well lit area and just stared at people as they came around the corner and watched them scream. As they came close to me I would scream. I was named the psycho screamer and screaming banchi. It was good fun.
Saturday of that weekend we went to the ward Elders Quorum party and went shooting in a gravel pit.
I couldn't hit any darn skeets but this hand gun was sure fun to shoot.

Missing Camera Cord

I have so many pictures to post, but I can't. In the move, it seems that my camera cord disapeared. I own a Sony Camera and an hp computer, so I cannot put the SD card into the computer. I hear you saying...Kira...why did you buy a Sony camera. Don't judge, I didn't. It was our last year winning from the Idaho Dairy Convention. A 12 megapixle digital camera, so I can't complain, but at this moment, I sure want to. So...many pictures from Halloween weekend are coming, as soon as my new cord gets here (since the Walmart in Burley doesn't sell it).

Life in B-Town

First off....... BOOOOO! Happy Halloween!

Me on a dirtbike! So..I can't drive stickshift. I can...I kindof won't let myself learn, because I don't want to. It's as simple as that. Call me stubborn but I just don't like it. I have always wanted however to learn to ride motorbikes...dirt and road. My dad always said...you can't get a road bike because you can't drive a clutch. Well here I am riding all over a hay field trying to learn so I can someday have my bike. I decided I will start with a road bike so Shay and I can go on long trips together.
I am adjusting to life in Burley. I miss my mall and big stores and WINCO. I miss Winco terribly!! Grocery stores in Burley are so overpriced it's dumb. I am actually very close to town so that is nice. The perks of the country but not too far from the store. I have been spending a lot of time with my Cray and my sewing machine and keeping myself very busy. I have completed a lot of projects and have a list of other ones lined up. Just finished our Halloween costumes and am super duper excited for Halloween. Shay is working hard and then playing hard too on his days off. He spends a lot of time with his bros. (All of them live here but one).
Shay and I at Shay's bro's football game in Declo. I love the view of the mountains from the school.
My little dude all ready to go to church...isn't he so handsome?? I love his pennyless lofers. Cray is growing super duper fast. he is 6.5 weeks now and is filling out daily. He smiles all the time and is even starting to coo and giggle.
This is my gangsta boy...haha...couldn't help myself. He pulls of a beanie very well.
My two boys....aren't they sweet? ahhhh...

Cray Melvin Newborn Pictures

My friend Mandie took these pictures of our little dude. Shay was moving all of our belongings that day, so he couldnt be in any of the pictures. We love how they turned out and love our little cowboy. Check Mandie out at www.capturedmomentsbymandie@blogspot.com.

So yes, we are living in Burley now and getting settled. We are adjusting to our lives in the country and as new parents. We love our little guy. He is such a joy and such a good baby. He makes the funniest faces and is very very alert for a newborn. He also is SUPER strong. I know most that read this will not believe me...but he rolled over from back to tummy when he was three days old and again when he was four days old. He hasn't done it since...but he did! He was chasing his hand with his mouth and rolled over to reach it. He hates his baths and makes us laugh every day. he is already growing like crazy and putting the chunk on. Love ya little dude.

More Baby Cray

Here is Cray's first bath at home. He loved having his hair washed and cooed and looked at us wide eyed.
Although he was not a fan of the whole bathing process and hates having his diaper changed.

New Daddy and Baby Cray. Shay and Cray have definetly hit it off. I can't remember what I said the other day, but Shay responded with "Cray and I already talked about it". My two men!!

The latest picture of the Shay Heward family. So now we are getting ready to move to Burley at the end of this week to start our new lives together as a family of three.
