Happy Birthday Papa

We went to Ruby River for Papa's birthday dinner. We had a great time and great food! Shay tricked me into eating a jalepeno popper (Idon't like hot things), but it was great fun!

After we went to our place for cake and presents. He got new waterski gloves, a neopreme ski hat (for cold skiing) which is pictured below. I asked one of his friend (alsomy boss) what he would want for his birthday, he said a neopreme hat. I guess my dad made fun of him last year for wearing one....oops. Let's just say it will probably be taken back....haha. He also got a really nice docking station/alarm clock for his ipod, but that will probably be taken back too. He wants to put it towards some boots for riding his Harley.

Stylish!!

Dad's birthday card, it said...
Some say with age comes wisdom....I say with age comes MAD SKILLS. I have gotten really into making personal pop-up cards lately. In this one my dad and the duck are popped out...and there is a roap going from him to the boat. Happy Birthday Pops!

Valentines Day...or the day before

I am a little late on posting this. Late is better than never I guess. Shay and I both knew that we wouldn't be able to celebrate Valentines Day on the actual day. Shay has class Thursday nights until 9:40 pm. We had talked about doing something special the weekend after Valentines, so I just assumed that was what we were going to do. Well I guess that's what Shay wanted me to think. I got home Wednesday night to a cooking husband. He made me shrimp and bacon wrapped steak and garlic bread. (I love garlic bread.) He lit a candle, and layed choclates on the table, and gave me a poem he had written. It was such a pleasant surprise. Then when I got home on Valentines Day from work Shay had typed up Sonnett 116 by Shakespeare.
I love this sonnet. It perfectly describes what love should be. Thanks Shay!

McCall Yet Again

Yes we went to McCall again this weekend. This time we went with friends. We went with the Hone family and the Hobb's family. We stayed at the Hobb's cabin and had a great time. Saturday morning (after breakfast at The Pancake House) we went to see what was left of the ice sculptures. Being a week after the festival was over, most of therm were covered with a foot of snow. There were a few of them that you could still make out though.
This here cutie belongs to Tyler and Katie Hone. His name is Maddex and he is so cute. Shay loves kids and just wanted to play with him all day long. We had a great time and because of this will probably continue to post many more pictures of McCall adventures.

I sure love Hidden Springs

Last week the place where I work, Hidden Springs Dental, had an open house. It was a huge success. We all took our turns walking door to door placing fliers. One morning it was 9 degrees and we were out there. Crazy! Then we ended up hiring some kids to place the rest for us.

Here is me with the two gals that I work with. Kelsi is on the left and next to me is Laurie. We have a great time up there working in the quiet of the mountains. I love being able to drive away from the smog everyday and into this beautiful place.
