Hidden Springs Bike Ride

Friday night we went on our first bike ride this year up a trail near Hidden Springs. It was called Red Trail. It was great fun, but I thought it was a little ambitious for our first ride of the season. But that made it all the more fun. The views were amazing everywhere we went.

Here i am next to the creek sportin my new riding shorts. They are not spandex even though they look like it there. They are the loose kind of riding shorts that still have lots of padding. haha.

Here's Shay sportin his new bike (an early birthday present.) I can't wait for many more rides this year! This was the best date night ever!

Landscaping the Yard

Shay and I had heard how spendy Boise water is. So we decided to ttry to landscape our front yard, little by little, so it needed less water. Our first project was a pathway from the road to the house. We found when that the bark from our yard tracks into our carpet and gives you slivers. So we wanted to have a path through it. Here is the beginning.

Here's Shay and my brother Jared taking a break from shoveling and eating some lunch. It was so nice outside. We all got some sun (especially my back)...and Jared has a couple of blisters to show for his hard work. Thanks Jared.

Not quite done...but you can get the idea. I have been working on it a few afternoons (the nice ones) a week and it's finally starting to come together.

Party turned into a Girl's Night

This last weekend our friends the Hones invited us and some other friends over to their house. It turned out being the guys out back with the bon fire and the girls inside with the food the and the Miss USA Pagent. We were all having so much fun watching Marky Mark and trying to imitate his moves. Good times good times.
